Everything that has happened, or will happen, has been laid out for us plainly to see in the Word of God. There are no secrets, there are no surprises.
We do tend to have trouble sorting it out as we try to fit our ideas and our thoughts on how things should go or will go. The problem with this, with our vain attempts, is that we just don't know. Our small minds cannot comprehend the great plans of God, we cannot even begin to understand the reasons why things happen. The Bible tells us that the ways and plans of God are higher than our own...
Isaiah 55:8-9
8) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Yet we try. We try to "figure it out", and determine God's plan for us, for our lives, and for the lives of others. We take headlines, movies, song lyrics, and all things entertainment related as truth, as real. We take the words of great men, men of God even, who seem to have a better idea or understanding than us when it comes to spiritual things, when it comes to things and teachings of God, and we make those things, the things we are told, a truth in our lives.
All we want is to be entertained. We want to feel good, we want to feel like we have a handle on things, we want to be told we're okay and that everything will be okay, and there's no sense in worrying or doing anything about these feelings, and that if we even begin to question anything we're shown or told we are crazy, conspiracy theorists, radicals... We get cut off, we get written off, we get shut out, and even kicked out of our churches, our families, and our homes because we question what we're told.
We have begun to look for answers in television, in music and in movies. The things we are shown on the silver screen become real, they become our reality. Well, the things we are shown in movies actually do tend to become a reality. There is a scripture in our bible,
Amos 3:7
7) Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
No secrets or surprises.
It appears that it is not just God himself that abides by this, but Satan does as well.
We see him (Satan) in the music industry as some of the top performers openly confess their allegiance, their inspiration, and their worship to him. It seems that in order to make it to the top these days, you must sell your soul to the devil. After all, he (Satan) is the god of this world - Ephesians 2:2 (...the Prince of the power of the air...) and he appears to be making his presence known.
We also see a growing trend in movies; From "The Clash of the Titans", and "The Wrath of the Titans", to "The Immortals". We see him in "The Gods of Egypt", and in some part we see him in The Avengers' movies. Lets take a look at the latest X-Men movie - "X-Men: Apocalypse"... We find the 1st "X-Man" with god like powers recruiting other "X-Men" as they fill the role of "the Four Horsemen" and attempt to join him in changing and ruling the world. You can't get anymore end times related than having a film featuring "the Four Horsemen and the Apocalypse!"
All these moves seem to have a common theme - a time where "gods", or "demi-god" like beings walked with men. Though some of these descriptions relate to mythology, we can find that many have a kernel of truth that take us back to a time before Noah and the flood, where angels mated with women, and produced hybrid giant beings that were half man and half angel.
In this movie (X-Men: Apocalypse), the Apocalypse character emerges from an ancient pyramid through ritual worship. This brings us to one of the "Seven Wonders of the World" - the ancient Pyramid of Giza! The pyramid is also known by ancient writers as "The Pillar of Enoch". Within the pyramid, we find a large room known as the "Kings Chamber". There is also a descending passage that drops into a subterranean room known as the "Bottomless Pit".
There are all kinds of possible prophetic implications found within this pyramid. There can also be found in Egypt, the tomb of Osiris, god of the underworld, who is also known as Gilgamesh. His body was later found in 2003, in Iraq, and rumored to be extracted by U.S. troops during the Gulf War.
The Egyptian god Osiris is known by other names going as far back as to the fall of the Tower of Babel, where we find Nimrod. The bible states the Nimrod "became" or "began to be" a Mighty Hunter. Nimrod, (a giant, or Gibborim) built the tower in defiance to God.
How will this play out in our future?
Nimrod / Gilgamesh / Osiris is also known as Apollo. This is where we get the name "Apollyon the Destroyer" as described in Revelation 9:11 as the"angel of the bottomless pit."
Yes, it looks like we are being setup and conditioned for the accepting of the Beast who is to come...
